Just ignore the creepy man with the camera.
Photography is something I've always wanted to pick up, but I always hated the fact that you have to spend at least 700 dollars on an entry-level DSLR just to start with, and that's always stopped me from picking it up. However, I recently discovered a cheap way to get into photography, get a Holga camera. I know, its a crappy toy camera, but that's kind of the point.
I don't presume to be any expert on photography, but I find that too often people obsess over the technical details of photography like ISO and shutter speed and while knowledge of these settings is expected of any photographer, the photos just end up all looking stale and boring. Ultimately, photography should be about finding interesting sights and stories and capturing them. I didn't want to get bogged down with the settings, so I got a camera with no settings, so I can focus on what's really the core of photography: seeing.
So. These are the results of my first roll of 120mm film. I'm rather pleased with the way some of them turned out, and I've certainly learned alot from taking these photographs.
